How to Get Here

By Car

The Long Mynd is 15 miles South of Shrewsbury, located West of the Church Stretton valley and the A49. Carding Mill Valley is approached from Church Stretton, and is signposted from the town centre.

There are two car parks in Carding Mill Valley, the lower car park is open daily all year. The upper car park Opens at 9.00am and closes at 7.00pm (April-Oct) and 4:15pm (Nov-March).

By Bus

The Whittle 435 service from Shrewsbury to Ludlow stops in Church Stretton, near the bottom of Carding Mill Valley. The tea room in the Chalet Pavilion is around half a mile up the valley.

The National Trust provides a Shuttle Bus Service at weekends and Bank Holidays (Easter-October) connecting Carding Mill Valley with Church Stretton station and other Shuttle Buses to the Stiperstones, Bishop's Castle and the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms.

By Train

Church Stretton station (on the Manchester-Cardiff line) is around half a mile from the bottom of Carding Mill Valley.
