Guided Walk

The most frequent activity given by the education team, many schools opt for a half day river study followed by a guided walk in the afternoon. Price as per full day river study. A half day walk takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours but can be adapted to your students age and your departure time.

Suggested walks to:

  • Reservoir & return - 45 mins
  • Reservoir & pipewalk - 1hr 15m
  • Waterfall - 1hr 30m
  • Waterfall, pipewalk & reservoir - 1hr 45m
  • River source - 2hr30m

A whole day walking option could include a picnic on the mountain and is the ideal way to introduce students to the countryside.

On the walk we include explanation of land use, the life of a river, visitor pressures, shaping of the landscape, archaeological and geographical evidence of human interaction in the landscape, as well as endorsing issues of citizenship and the impact of your lifestyle on the environment, sustainability, and keeping healthy.

In this service we guarantee one adult leader per class, but often 1:15 students.
